Coliguacho is a musical project made between Melbourne and Santiago de Chile. It is a complete 45-60 minute music album whose concept is Andean music (Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Argentina) used as a stimulus to create new contemporary compositions.
This is a project whose inspiration is traditional music used to create new versions of that content. Alternatively, the concept is to use the content of various types of Andean music as a takeoff point to create something completely new. Each work in the album will use one or several elements studied from Andean folk music.
Each musical piece of the album has its history, and its concept so each of the pieces has a watercolor in the booklet with the theme of each piece.
